President Neville Pinto serves as President of the University of Cincinnati, where he has led the university’s strategic direction, Next Lives Here. Over the course of 34 years, Pinto has been a university teacher, researcher and administrator. He spent 26 years at UC as a professor of chemical engineering, department head and Dean of the Graduate School before going to UofL to serve as Dean of its College of Engineering and became its interim provost and interim president. He returned to UC in 2017 to become its 30th president. He is the first UC president since Herman Schneider, the founder of cooperative education, to rise from its faculty ranks. UC’s cooperative education model has been emulated at universities around the world.
